Polybridge Ventures LLP exports corn DDGS (maize Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles) from India to feed mills, compound feed manufacturers, livestock and aquaculture producers, and feed importers. Corn DDGS is the co-product left after maize is fermented for ethanol. Once the starch is used up, the protein, fat and fibre of the grain are concentrated into a dry, golden-yellow feed ingredient that supplies both protein and energy.
The values below are from independent laboratory tests on three recent lots of corn DDGS, carried out by an ISO 9001 certified lab using FSSAI methods. Values vary from lot to lot, so we confirm the analysis for your shipment before dispatch.
| Parameter | Typical value | Range across 3 lots |
|---|---|---|
| Crude protein | About 29% | 28.6–29.3% |
| Crude fat | About 10% | 9.8–10.5% |
| Crude fibre | About 8.4% | 8.2–8.6% |
| Moisture | About 7.5% | 6.8–8.2% |
| Carbohydrate | About 48.8% | 48.8–48.9% |
If you have your own specification, for example a minimum protein or maximum moisture, attach it to your enquiry and we will confirm whether a lot meets it.
Corn DDGS is the most widely traded type of DDGS in the world. Its fat content, around 10%, makes it a source of energy as well as protein, so it is often used to replace part of the maize and soybean meal in a formula. If your formula needs the highest possible protein with low fat, compare it with our rice DDGS, which is supplied at 45% protein minimum.
| Parameter | Corn DDGS | Rice DDGS |
|---|---|---|
| Crude protein | About 29% | 45% minimum |
| Crude fat | About 10% | 3% maximum |
| Main strength | Protein plus energy | High protein, low fat |
| Colour | Golden yellow | Light tan |
Inclusion rates depend on species, age and the rest of the formula. Your nutritionist should set the level based on the lot analysis.
| Form | Best for |
|---|---|
| Powder (meal) | Feed mills that mix DDGS into mash feed or run their own pellet line |
| Pellets | Buyers who want less dust, easier bulk handling and more product per container |
