Curry powder has no single recipe. Typical Indian blends are built on coriander and turmeric, with red chilli, cumin, fenugreek, black pepper, mustard, ginger and other spices in varying proportions. The amount and type of chilli sets the heat, from mild to hot, and turmeric and chilli set the colour.
| Blend | Typical profile |
|---|---|
| Mild curry powder | Coriander and turmeric forward, low chilli, golden yellow |
| Medium curry powder | Balanced spices with moderate chilli heat |
| Hot curry powder | Higher chilli content, deeper red-brown colour |
| Your recipe | Tell us your recipe or target profile and we will confirm what we can supply and send samples |
Ingredients are listed on the label in descending order of weight, as the standard requires.
| Pack type | Details |
|---|---|
| Bulk packs with inner liner | Industrial bags, sizes to your requirement |
| Retail packs | Consumer pack weights for supermarkets and distributors |
| Private label or OEM | Custom pack weights, artwork, ingredient list and label language |
Every shipment comes with a commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and a Certificate of Analysis for the batch. A phytosanitary certificate and third-party laboratory reports, for example for pesticide residues, aflatoxin or microbiology, can be arranged when your importer or market requires them. Curry powder is classified under HS subheading 0910.91 (mixtures of spices).
